Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White are THEESatisfaction, the latest product of Sub Pop’s promising new focus on innovative Alt-Rap & Hip-Hop. THEES is set to release their Sub Pop debut LP, the “funk-psychedelic feminista sci-fi epic” awE naturalE on March 27 and I’ve been groovin’ on the first couple releases, the aptly entitled “QueenS” and “Enchantruss” this week. Ish Butler returns some love in the ladies’ direction on “Enchatruss” after the duo contributed vocals on “Swerve… The reeping of all that is worthwhile (Noir not withstanding)” from Shabazz Palaces stunning Black Up LP last year.

Easily the most interesting and intelligent debut album of 2012 thus far despite clocking in under 30 minutes. Might as well be an EP. Very creative & different.

Not that I'm aware of. Sub Pop's been pretty solid with security. They released these two singles to hype the release & it's working. Search around… lot's o' talkin'. Pretty positive all around the interwebs.
