Solomon Burke (March 1940 – October 2010)

Solomon Burke, the Philadelphia-born preacher, Grammy award winning singer & songwriter, inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and father of 21 children, 90 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren passed away this morning at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
