♬ Jack White – Blunderbuss
Blunderbuss, the solo debut from former White Stripes frontman Jack White, was released in parts of Europe today (for those of us residing elsewhere, the magic dates are April 23/24) and you can listen to a stream of the album in its entirety below or on iTunes right now. If you dig it, you can pre-order a copy and download the first single “Sixteen Saltines” today.
Initial reviews are declaring it a knockout & at first listen I have to agree… lovin’ that raw, throwback style. If you have time for just a few songs check out his remake of Little Willie John’s “I’m Shaking”, that first single and the closer “Take Me With You When You Go”, with its Brubeck-inspired intro. Those first two sound like they would have fit right in on Elephant, and that just can’t ever be a bad thing.
White will be performing songs off of Blunderbuss at Webster Hall in NYC and it will be streamed live as part of the acclaimed UNSTAGED series, hosted by American Express and directed by Gary Oldman. You can watch it live on April 27th at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT at www.youtube.com/jackwhiteVEVO.

So awesome!
I’ve had this in my car cd player since the week it came out. Pretty much my favorite release this year.
I hear ya.
